We are a nation of makers: Donuts, cars, sculptures. What’s made in mid-Missouri? Find a maker — of anything — and create a :45 – 1:00 audio slideshow in which the maker demonstrates his or passion for what they make.
You will use a DSLR camera and an audio recorder. You must have:
You must use Adobe Premiere Pro to create a photo slideshow. Audio must be edited using Adobe Audition. Photos should be toned and cropped using Photoshop. The final product should be put together in Adobe Premiere Pro. Captions should be done in a Microsoft Word file in the order of the photos in the slideshow. Your story will need a properly formatted two-column script, in Word file. The script should have a headline and a paragraph of chatter that would appear on the web page above the slideshow that prepares the audience for what they’re going to see and hear.
If you don’t have a car, you can stay downtown or on campus. If you have a car you must get off campus and preferably outside of downtown.
This should go without saying, but this project can not involve anyone you know or any place or institution that you’re affiliated with. Oh wait, you say, does that mean I can’t do anything on campus? That is correct.
Your project is due at 6 pm next Thursday. Projects must be saved to the Classes server > Finished Stories> Camp Convergence. Projects must be done on our computers, not yours.
TAs will be in the Futures Lab to help you beginning next Wednesday with the following schedule:
2 p.m. – 9 p.m.
1 p.m. – 7 p.m.
9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
