• Astronomy association hosts public viewings

    The Central Missouri Astronomical Association hosts public viewings of Saturn on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015. group saw 4,000-5,000 members of the public around Columbia, Missouri attend in an average year, member Valentine Germann explained. It belongs to the larger organization, the Astronomical League, which contains hundreds of clubs and societies across the U.S., according to its website. The organization’s goal is “to encourage an interest in astronomy (and especially amateur astronomy) throughout America.”
